Jesus’ command was to go make disciples, therefore we must also believe in the priesthood of every believer (Revelation 1:6). Every member of the Body of Christ has enormous potential, deposited in them by the Holy Spirit to serve and glorify God.

BHI is committed to help believers find and recognise their potential, their gifts and call, then to help develop and train them to be effective disciples of Jesus, in whichever sphere the Lord has for them to minister and represent Him and His Kingdom.

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;
Ephesians 4:11-12 (NASB)

Speaking of the above verses BHI founder explains,

“It was one day in 1976, while preparing a message for the Sunday’s service, that the Holy Spirit opened my eyes and suddenly I saw, like never before, the truth of the above verses. My heart and mind was impacted by those two particular verses. The revelation brought new meaning, understanding and application. In that moment not only did the truth set me free, it set the direction for my life and ministry, through to this very day.”

One of the primary functions of the local church is to grow strong disciples, to equip their members as effectual works in the Kingdom of God. It is not so much about individual ministries or even famous preachers, but the Body of Christ empowered for service by the Holy Spirit. No one puts it better than the apostle Paul….

For the Lord God is one, and so are we, for we share in one faith, one baptism, and one Father. 6 And He is the perfect Father who leads us all, works through us all, and lives in us all! 7 And he has generously given each one of us supernatural grace, according to the size of the gift of Christ.
Ephesians 4:5-7 (TPT)

There is a divine mystery—a secret surprise that has been concealed from the world for generations, but now it’s being revealed, unfolded and manifested for every holy believer to experience. 27 Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!
Colossians 1:26-27 (TPT)
